I am new to chicken - I have Cochins!

Welcome to BYC! Absolutely stunning birds. Cochins are one of my all time favorite breeds.

Also, if my rooster breeds to these hens, what colors could I expect?
Your rooster appears to be lemon blue. I do not believe you'd end up with any pure colors if crossed to any of your hens. You could play around and see what mixed colors you end up with though. :)

Aren't Cochins wonderful? I have some full-sized Cochins and some bantams.

I am no expert on colors (or anything else, really) but my guesses are that your hens are a mottled Cochin (the first photo); both black and white Cochins (yeah, pretty obvious even for me); and the goldish one with black might be a Buff Brahma Cochin. The grayish ones are considered blues, and their coloring can range from a light shade of blue-gray to very deep blue-charcoal (which one of mine is; Maxie is a beauty). Remember, these are just my best effort to help, not authoritative answers! I have no idea on breeding color results.

Someone who knows more will probably be along to correct any of my guesses because this is a great group of very knowledgeable folks.

Congrats on getting your beautiful birds, and welcome to BYC, BCochins!

I am new to chickens and got 8 cochin hens ranging from 2-6 months old and one 3 year old rooster from a friend. I am so excited. They are very sweet and cute! I hope to learn more from other members. If you know their colors, please let me know! Also, if my rooster breeds to these hens, what colors could I expect?
OMG! So jealous of the mottled Cochin! :welcome
