I am new to incubating~ but am setting my eggs tomorrow...anyone else?

HI! I just received my eggs. They were shipped, so we will see how this goes. I got 6 Blue Ameracaunas, 6 Black Copper Marans, and 6 Welsummers, but they threw in 2 more Welsummers extra. I am letting them sit now (big end up right?) overnight, and tomorrow around 5:00 we will put them in the incubator. We are using a friends Octogon 40 dx. She just hatched 17 out of 24 shipped eggs from the same place, so we will see how I do!!! I will need all the help I can get, so anyone that wants to join in...PLEASE DO SO!!!!

I will be setting tomorrow too. Was planned for today, but had to get temp and humidity regulated. Took longer than anticipated.

We have 2 Orpington, 2 Speckled Sussex, and 2 Mille Fluer we will be incubating. First time using store bought incubator.

I just had 7 BBS Ameraucanas and 10 Olive Eggers hatch today. These also were from shipped eggs. I had 14 of each to start ~ 4 Ameraucana & 2 OE were clear and didn't go into lockdown. So out of 22 starters I got 17 hatched (1 zipped but died midway) & there are still 4 in the bator (no pips yet but I am leaving them for a few more days).
