I just went to clean out my chicks and McCnugget was laying there dead :'( he was fine when I left for school :'( and she was the stronger of the to :'( they had food water and heat :'( they even had little things to snuggle in :'( what did I do wrong :'(

It is hard to know exactly what happened. Can you tell us what they had to eat, how warm the temperature is? Sometimes things happen and we do not know why.

Nugget was just eating chick starter feed she always fresh clean water :'( my room is 80 degrees :'(

It's hard to say, but double check your environmental factors. If she was wet, she may have chilled and died. If she didn't get enough niacin or vitamins she may have died from a vitamin deficiency...please read over the list I (or others) have given you and make sure you are giving your birds a complete diet, with a niacin source and grit. The different feed types are not just snacks, they are vital componenets of a complete diet, and if one or more nutrient ismissing, you will probably have problems. You will not have healthy birds (especially if you keep them indoors, away from fresh grass and fresh bugs)...they need lots of extra nutrition if they are kept indoors.

Also, how many ducks do you have now...? You always want to keep more than one duck; they are a flocking species, and are very social, and need another duck to be friends with. Otherwise their health may suffer, they may stop eating, and may die. Get another duckling of comparable size as soon as you can, and supervise them as they get to know each other so one doesn't pick on the other.

I had two chicks and I have two duckling...what should I do with Arroura now that Nugget has past :'( won't she get lonley? :'( I can't by another chick because the store is all sold out :'( would it be best if I gave Arroura to my teacher who has tons of chickens so she has friends? I would hate for her to suffer :'(

Give yourself overnight to think about it. You may be able to find another chick after all, you may want to talk to the teacher, or another idea could present itself.

Was there anything on McNugget's body to indicate there was trouble? Blood? Bruising?
