Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm a chicken person and don't know much about peafowl (never had any), but I do know something about Cochins. We used to raise Buff Cochins and they were gentle giants. My children made lap pets out of them. As chickens go, they are poor layers, but as you so correctly stated, they are excellent brooders and mothers. Our Cochin hens raised several broods for us. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your peafowl and in getting your Cochins.
