I am not a builder!

Congratulations! You're a builder because you built it, so take all the credit given and more. Learning is fun too.

You are too a builder and your pics prove it! Can you tell me the name of that fab red? That is EXACTLY the color we have trying to find for our front door - a hard 1940's kinda red.

Nice job!

Thanks, everyone! You guys have been very supportive. You make me feel good about the red contraption.

To answer an earlier question, no, I don't have a tractor. DH loves to abuse them and they never run more than a month. LOL I can't afford a new one. I barely let the man drive my truck.

I need to check up on the skids idea though. That sounds like an good option for this large red contraption.
And boy, howdy, I did learn a lot from building this one!
I feel more like Dad is laughing than smiling down on me though.

He probably wonders where he went wrong in not teaching me what he should have. But, yeah, maybe I did learn a little bit.

Hopefully I'll get the other photos posted later today.

The red color we got from Lowe's. It is called "Classic Red". I want to say it was in the Valspar brand but could be wrong. I love that color red, also.
My next tractor is going to be "Morning Sunrise" yellow!
And the one after that is going to be blue! A bright blue.

Whew! I better slow down. I've already had to say tons of prayers for all the bad words I said while building this humdinger of a tractor. I bet construction workers and house builders have a wild vocabulary!

Wow, great job!! I'm still trying to figure out how to get wheels onto my tractor. The thing is an A-frame "ark" type and when it sits on the ground, there are no gaps, i.e. all 4 sides are sitting flush on the ground.

I can't figure out how to put two wheels on the back so I can tilt it up a few inches and wheel it a bit, kinda like a wheelbarrow, and then when I let it down, it's all on the ground again with no gaps. Am interested to know if you end up putting wheels on yours.

Again, great job, and the color is fabulous!

DH is talking about putting his wheels on his tractor with a lever handle so he can take a pin out then lever the wheels down and put a pin back in them so he can roll it. He wants me to do that with mine but I am confused by the whole concept.
I saw a photo of that somewhere. Either on the web or on here in BYC somewhere.

Actually our run has wheels that drop down and we have boards that slip in and keep them down so we can roll it. We pull it with the tractor too. Here is a picture.
