You know, the one I used to think was an overly-sentimental wuss, and kinda laugh at.... BEFORE I had kids?

My 7 yr old DD had her 1st day of 2ond grade yesterday, she looked so brave & beautiful, but so TINY... I

all day, (and looked at baby pictures), didn't I just bring her home from the maternity ward just YESTERDAY????

I know what you mean... My 18 yearold started college and moved in with her boyfriend recently... it feels like yesterday she was learning to walk and needed me to hold her hand and now she doesn't need me as much

when we found out we were having another boy. My DH was adopted and he said that if I ever changed my mind and wanted another baby, we could always adopt a little girl. What man says that? My awesome husband!

Every first day of school is hard for me. I try to have a lot of errands to do away from home that day and start right on them as soon as they leave because if I stay home, I just cry and mope-the house is so empty. Then I get home before them, ready to hear all about the exciting first day.
