I am pretty sure this ugly mutt is a roo...but what COLOR is this?

I can't decide if I think this bird is cool looking or one ugly cuss...but I am pretty sure it's a roo. I finally got my hands on him and got him to stay still long enough to get a good look. His coloration doesn't lend well to looking at feathers from a distance!

had me a little confused because not much as to wattles and comb, and this is an adult bird, but I'm pretty darn sure these feathers say ROO!

It doesn't have a name, really.


Though many might think it is a Birchen, it is actually just a cross of black and one of the following: partridge, duckwing, wheaten.
