You are mistaking exchanging information and opinions with open, disagreeable rudeness. It is entirely possible to disagree with someone without being rude, nasty, condescending, belittling, etc. That is what is being objected to here. We're disagreeing right now, but not in an unpleasant way. That's the point. Be nice, be true to yourself and your knowledge, express yourself politely and no one is going to mind a single bit.

Awww thanks. I learn something new here each and everyday and I won't ever be leaving. I have learned that you should never ask questions unless you are absolutely sure that you want an answer. It's totally okay for people to say "You are wrong on this one and here is my thinking or my opinion or this is what I use or do." but to out right call someone an idiot for not knowing something is uncalled for. There is nothing wrong with being ignorant. There is something wrong with keeping it though and that is why most people come and ask questions on this forum. I just wish that everyone not just a few would be more welcoming and understanding. Not everyone knows everything about chickens. We all started somewhere and I myself find joy in helping others.

True words! Calling anyone an idiot is probably a poor personal decision. That is a reflection of the person doing the calling, not the receiver.

I really feel that the good outweighs the obnoxiously rude here. I can't believe that I raised chickens for as long as I did without this place. I would be lost without my byc friends and the fact that I can drive speckledhen into madness with my questions and she don't get mad and block me
