I am really disappointed

Yes truly the the words of a sage indeed,..or a drug fiend driving recklessly through the streets endangering everyone in his path,..ahem,..did you see him most recently on dr. drews drug rehab show,...what a mess.
LOL, I am so sorry I couldn't help it,..bad Lisa, bad bad bad. I'll go to the naughty corner now.

You're right, you can't read sarcasim or sense a tone in the typed words. It is something that should be considered when typing online. The use of the smilies makes it much easier to understand the emotion the person is feeling. However, sometimes people just don't care how they respond to things and don't care what people think.

It is a sad thing.

If the miserable or mean, rude poster is posting nastiness, it has a tendency to rub off onto others. What an impact these people can have on others.......................................................................................................................unless the readers are STRONG!!

I have never learned anything from people who ignore and/or agree with me. People who disagree with me, however, have the chance to teach me something and possibly show me a new way of looking at things. If no one ever spoke up, nothing would ever change in this world.

I have noticed this as well and it makes me very sad when I see a newbie asking questions and getting very rude and sharp answers. Why? Thumpers momma said, " If you don't have nuttin' nice to say then don't say nuttin' at all." When I first came to this site I had never ever been on a forum and had no clue about how everything worked. It didn't take me long to get my feelings hurt to the point that I never wanted to return again. Thanks to some really kind souls and some very nice PMs I reconsidered and learned quickly what to NOT comment on or ask questions about. Religion, Politics, and AMERAUCANAS!!!! Just last night there was a very cute thread that the original poster could have gotten some very important info from but nope someone had to get all crabby and take it way too far and it resulted in being locked. Kinda sad actually. I thought that byc was more for helping and learning and teaching than criticizing and judging one another.

Yes the political & religious threads are like quicksand, but Ameraucanas??? That's just silly. Ugh!
Now that I've been lurking and posting for nearly 2 years. I've gotten braver and realize I cannot control other people. Just my reaction.

Imp-I have your back!

That's where the art of disagreeing without being disagreeable comes in. I totally agree with you, some of my most valuable lessons have been learned when someone said, "no, that's not right, try this".

"The number of rude and unnecessary responses on a number of threads lately has me rather sad. "

Wonder how you say that in Spanish. Wink

Awww thanks. I learn something new here each and everyday and I won't ever be leaving. I have learned that you should never ask questions unless you are absolutely sure that you want an answer. It's totally okay for people to say "You are wrong on this one and here is my thinking or my opinion or this is what I use or do." but to out right call someone an idiot for not knowing something is uncalled for. There is nothing wrong with being ignorant. There is something wrong with keeping it though and that is why most people come and ask questions on this forum. I just wish that everyone not just a few would be more welcoming and understanding. Not everyone knows everything about chickens. We all started somewhere and I myself find joy in helping others.
