I am restless already this winter!

I am so glad you folks get where I am coming from!

I wonder if I could try some tomato plants inside over the winter, I always wanted to try it.

Checked out your furnishings Happy, can I say, gorgeous!

I am also a fan of winter these days. We of course have all the animal related chores but it always feels nice to not have all those extra outside things to do. I live on a fairly small island and people tend to get a little stir crazy during the winter. Many of the roads are not plowed the boat quits running and the only way off the island is by plane. I like the quiet coziness of an island winter myself but oh well.

I am debating whether or not we should get a Wii for our house for Christmas. It would be a nice way to get up and moving without putting on layers of clothes and big old boots.

I'm a big weenie from the south. The cold can make me dread even egg collecting!!!!!!
I like being able to step outside, without having to put on a dozen extra layers first.
I can't stand being cooped up in the house either though. I shop a lot, since stores are warmer than outside, but I just don't buy much

It also seems like everything breaks in the dead of winter. Electric fences die when it's 22 degrees outside and my fingers are too numb to fix the wires, the door latch broke on my truck when it was about 30 degrees with the wind blowing what FELT like 100mph so I'm trying to keep it closed on the ride home from work and then froze my bootie off at U-Pull-It getting a replacement, pipes always freeze and bust a leak somewhere, ice storms hit and knock trees or limbs down to clean up,

I just can't WAIT to deliver pizza in icy weather

This winter has been the most hectic for me - And this is me:

The chickens aren't taking too well to their first winter, especially for how unsually cold it is getting ( and how long it is staying like this ) and then there is the fact that I have been setting up and occasionally fixing a fence around 4 acres all by hand. . Sooo much work. So far I just have about half an acre done for our new goats to wander on. (it is temporarily closed off from the remaining 3.5 acres by some hot-wire fencing; still waiting for them though, they were supposed to get here today, but I'll prolly have to wait until next weekend. So impatiently excited! ) By Spring, the whole 4 should be done for the new cattle coming in.

Basically this winter has been one huge project to rushingly get this whole yard (5 acres) prepped for the spring, where new additions of 2 extra, seperate chicken flocks will be added, many huge gardens and greenhouses will be added, and some new livestock will come in! We'll be a fully functioning farm by Summer! But, in the mean time, it is work work work. All done by me.

Oh, and there's the snow. . . I mean, where? All across my entire state is snowy and cloudy, and in this tiny little snippet of land that I live on. . It has been cold, clear, and frozen frostiness for over 7 days. I would like some insulation in the form of snow, please. And beauty.
