Thats what I use and I still cant see snot!

I'll just have to make DH buy me a few different flash lights this weekend

I don't have problem with candling. I have light I bought at Meyer hatchry, it goes through most of my except, Marans. My quail eggs are not that dark. Some are white and some are speckled. I could see that they are dark and if you put it over the big end where the air sac is you may be able to see it move a little.

I tried all angles and I cant see anything through it. I cant afford a specially made light so I have to deal with flash lights.

You can buy a half way decent candler from Meyer hatchery. Maybe you could check TSC . I made one for my dark eggs also. Out of a spotlight and a cone to set them on most of the time you just see dark.

it helps to be in a closet or somewhwere REALLY dark. then you should be able to see!
