I'm (sorta) still considered a young adult. Any predator comes after my critters won't be able to do so again, it will be shot with intent to kill.
Age isn't necessarily it. Depends (sometimes) largely on where a person was raised. Raised in a city, with no exposure to true wild life leads to an "awww...its cute!" type of view. Raised in the country where your critters are often your income, well, they aren't going to go cuddle the darn coons.
Exactly! Well said! If it is not age, its the experience and how willing you are to protect your flock!
Sure coons are cute, I've love them as cuteness but reality, they are wild animals and they dont stay CUTE for that long. We "humanize" animals too much that it really gets us humans so far out of reality. Its like going into a lion's den, crooning the cranky lioness, saying "here kitty, kitty" with cat food can in your hand is going to pacify that big cat! NOT! They can and WILL kill you if given the chance.
