I am sick beyond words over the complete lack of respect for the rules of the various forums...especially the Predators and Pests section. So listen up because YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE and whether or not you are guilty of it, if unsure, I will explain it simple terms and down on Barnie level....
That section is for people to discuss predators and pests, seek advice on dealing with them and discussing methods for dealing with them. People this means there will be discussions of killing a predator... if you do not believe in killing something out to eat your pets and/or your gardens, ducks, geese, chickens, partridges, pheasants, rabbits, etc etc etc then stay the flying flip out of the predator and pests forum or keep your comments to yourself.
The overwhelming number of members that will kill a predator on sight rather than lose their birds is astounding. We are here in the forum because we raise poultry, livestock and PETS. We are not here to be wildlife conservationist, preservationist and paw holders.
So, in a nut shell...if you cannot kill a raccoon who will eat every chicken you have then ZIP IT! Stay out of the predators and pests section and/or keep your predator paw holding mentality to yourself when you are in that forum. If you seek advice on humane ways or ways that do not involve killing a predator, feel free to ask your questions and the same holds true for those seeking advice on killing a predator. Just respect each other's view points, manner of dealing with predators and respect each others rights to have differing opinions and feelings.
The alternative...me being ultimately banned from this site because I am about 2 posts away from lighting some raccoon, skunk, possum, mountain lion, weasel kissers up in the most unfriendly manner you could ever conceive. Because frankly I am tired of the condescending, ridiculous, rude, obnoxious remarks and emotional whining over a dead predator or someone contemplating, planning and discussing killing a predator.
So people ENOUGH! Get a grip already. The moderators spend their time posting warnings to read the rules of the section, again and again the warnings are posted and again and again the same jerks are ignoring the warnings. New people...READ THE RULES!
Okay, I am done now. Commence pie throwing at your leisure...I prefer chocolate.
