Parrots definitely do pick. You have to be sure the prospective suitor is healthy, they introduce them in a neutral place, not either one's home cage. I am looking at rescue birds, but some of those guys are very against breeding! There are lots of orphan parrots due to ignorant folks getting a bird and then discovering that it is costing them time and money! DUH! You are doing the right thing, learn about birds with your cute little guys, then when you graduate to an African Grey, you will know about birds and have experience to give them a great home!he picked the right one though!
I can't do that with Dylan, it would take at least 5 years for a hatch-ling to reach breeding age. Then, what if she did not like him?I waited a long time to get my birds! until I got fed up and shipped eggs from florida and hatched them out myself!
