I am SO ripped! *RANT*

That's because Home Depot also tends to be jerks to their employees. During the brief time I worked for them, I got in trouble for car-pooling with a co-worker when they sent us for training at another site, and not once did they honor my request to have, of all evenings, Wednesday evenings off.

Sounds like there is more to this story........

Contact your BBB and make a formal complaint; contact the Corporate headquarters and let them know your complaint, service, and that you have also contacted the BBB. Then let them know that the media will be involved if this is not resolved in the next day or so.

Good luck, I have has similar issues with Ashley Furniture: NEVER BUY FROM THEM!

There is, but I'm still angry enough over the situation that I can't tell it without copious amounts of foul language directed at the people involved.

Suffice to say, I no longer work there and a lawyer buddy of mine is on the case.

We do not have a Home Depot here so I really can't say to much one way or the other. But I did hear of them firing a employee for wearing a patriotic pin and bringing a bible to work. Probably more to that story too, but just hard to say. If that is all the employee did it makes HD look really bad.

When I was a single mother of 2 and needed a new roof, Home Depot refused to give me ANY credit! And I'd had a good job for 7 years at the point when I applied. I finally had to take a 401k loan to do the roof. Now when I happen to get something from there (rare) and they offer me a special deal if I'll take their credit card I smugly say, "No thank you. You wouldn't give me one when I really needed one, so I don't want one now!"

Mom worked for them for a few years and liked it there, mostly. But I still prefer Lowe's!!

Wegot we have a Lowe's and it is OK, know a few people that work for them, and they don't complain. I think they only pay there employees minimum wage but I think that is the case for most retail now.

Actually, if that's the story I heard about, he was fired not for the wearing of the pin and bringing of the bible, but for proselytizing to other employees and customers that had asked him to stop, including things as ridiculous taking a sharpie to all the signs telling folks they had to sign up for the company holiday party, crossing out holiday, and writing 'you are in America!!!! WE celebrate CHRISTMAS'.
