I am so very blessed so why do I let this depress me... **Update pg 3

You know I am usually the one which remembers my fathers birthday and this year I wasn't. I felt bad and called him a little late to wish him happy birthday. All I can say is sometimes life gets in the way of things. Happy Birthday by the way.

Update: she did call and wished me a "Happy BELATED Birthday"

- I laughed and told her she still had a few hours before it was a belated birthday - we chatted and I felt much better - must have been all the good wishes and thoughts from here that *maybe* helped her remember.

I turned 59 last week, the 10th, and saw my mom the day before and after and she never mentioned my b-day. Every year I say it's not going to bother me but it does. I don't really care anymore, but it does still hurt a little. If that makes any sense. 41 years ago I gained a wonderful mother in law who has been everything my mother has never been, and I know how much she loves me.
I am so very blessed to have her in my life. She more than makes up for what my mom doesn't have it in her to be.
