*I am sooo confused!!* (UPDATE)

Are you sure the tracking number is for USPS? I didn't know they had tracking numbers. UPS has tracking numbers.

I just checked an USPS does have tracking for packages. I tried to ship a shipment not to very long ago and the teller said I couldn't get a tracking number. I don't know why now.

I've noticed that with tracking numbers, it's not very accurate. Once it enters your state, it will be updated to say it left the place it came from. About 6 hours after you get it, it'll say out for delivery.

I had a book shipped that showed up on my door before the tracking said it had left the seller's house!!

Patience dear, you'll have them soon!!

If you called the USPS people they might not even look it up. I would go on line and check. However if it was shipped yesterday and unless it was shipped express mail it won't arrive until another one or two days. That's if it was mailed priority, which by the way is not a guaranteed service.

Believe me I worked for the USPS and some of those people have a very bad attitude. So use the computer to check. Keep in mind that the USPS is closing "processing plants and moving the operation around and so there is a lot going on right now.

I'm sure things will be fine.

Yep, it's not uncommon for the tracking number to not show anything if it was sent USPS Priority Mail, which I'm assuming your eggs were. You should receive them in 2-3 days, but unless the PO scans the package as it comes through, you won't see anything, and they often do not scan them. I have shipped and received a lot of things with Priority Mail and noticed several times that it wasn't updated until the morning it was at my local PO and out for delivery. In fact, they don't even call it a tracking number for priority mail, it is a "label number" and they aren't required to scan it in transit for tracking.

Try not to worry, sit back and be patient!

When ever I get a tracking # the web site usually doesn't even show the package was accepted until after it's literaly been delivered
