I am such a pushover sometimes....

Our awesome Sunday sermon was on not worrying about tomorrow and making the most out of today since you don't have much control over what's gonna happen tomorrow. So true!

Yeah, I had a sweet deal. Dh is retired now so we spend 24/7 together.

He woke up this morning saying he didn't feel well so I told him to stay in bed

I only had to take him a couple glasses of Diet Coke and make him some Magic Soup (don't tell him or the kids that it is just chicken and dumplings) It has had healing powers for 25+ years. In return I got a wonderful quiet day where surprisingly I didn't do anything wrong.

I sure don't know how I made it all these years without his help. All said and done I missed the old toot.

Micah

Sweet trade on the snake. I have done substantial downsizing myself.

I can't wait for my kids to be old enough to bargain with! It sounds like you got a very good deal out of it!

Sadly that never worked on mine

HOWEVER, I get around it and get them to clean anyway

The guy just left and the farm is SO much quieter without the goats....it's weird...I may have to get some more goats next weekend..... NOT!!!!

My poor little left over pair of Muscovies have the big ole pool to themselves too...and they are having a blast! I think they already forgot the other ducks

The only downside is I missed the church picnic...but there will be more of those. It has been a good day

I am glad that he stuck to his word and showed up. How is the snake? We just bought a small hobby farm 6 months ago and were thinking about getting a couple of goats next year...maybe that is a bad idea!

The snake is very gentle! A couple years old, I learned it came from a rescue actually, which is pretty cool. DD LOVES the snake! Thinking of naming it Ophis, which is a greek word for snake. It has just eaten, and has just finished shedding as well. VERY healthy young one! She is pleased

Goats are GREAT! Mine were just spoiled rotten brats

IF you get them...DO NOT get them addicted to corn as treats. Goats will eat until they explode, and they are very vocal when they want some 'junk food!' Imagine a short loud furry crackhead...that was my goats. I have learned. I DO plan on getting more, but not until Spring, and I want dairy goats. Mine were meat goats. The experience has been AMAZING though! They were well worth the trouble!

I was thinking of getting nigerian dwarfs, because they sound so gentle and I want dairy goats. It doesn't hurt that there is a farm that raises nigerian dwarfs on my way to town and everytime I pass by their sign it makes me think I want goats, lol.

Nigerians may be the way I go too...would be MUCH easier to trim hooves with a smaller goat.

Bet that farm would give ya a tour

I always have some hatch that shouldn't have, or get hurt and it's not fixable.

Sad, but they have a purpose now at least.
