I am supposed to be a Blue standard Cochin what am I?

Ok have some hatching eggs off Ebay that I bought that are hatching. 2 have hatched so far this one is pretty but does not look right to me. With the exception of the foot and leg feathering.... This batch were supposed to be Blue Cochins!

Looks like either a dark blue or black Cochin to me. If the breeder has either blue x blue or black x blue, you can get either black or blue out of that. And, of course, you can get splash from blue x blue.

Even with all that white? The other chick still drying in the bator has 0 white?

Thats how black cochins look as babies. It will be Black or maybe splash? Blue Genes can be blue,black or splash.

He looks like a Black Cochin to me too... maybe a very dark blue.

That said, stop opening your bator until they've all hatched.

I agree looks like a black or a splash maybe. Definately a cochin

That baby is still drying off, I wouldn't be opening the bator and would let the first babies stay in there 10-12 hours, and THEN take them out quick.

If it was splash, it would be a silvery/creamy color, so definitely not splash. All my black and blue Orps have white on them, so same with Cochins. Did the ebay seller have pics of the parent stock?
