I come from outside of Keene close enough to pay Keene taxes, but far enough to be treated like we live in Sullivan.

I spent a fair amount of time in Keene when I was younger. We had family there. We still have a house in Jaffrey, just off Lake Contocook. When I was a kid, my mother was afraid I was going to fall off of Mount Monadnock.

If i was you and been though what you been through, i wouldn't hesitate a bit to put the beast down however i could., whatever the consequences.

Here's an idea:

Find a redneck hunter with proper ammo and familiarity. (If you don't know any-call your sheriff's office. Guarantee there is a hunter working there). Go buy a couple of chickens (maybe a neighbor has a hateful rooster or two?). Let them free range. Then, your "hired gun" shoots the bear once he gets a chicken.

Sorry for the chickens, but come on. Those rules are just stupid!

If you are going to shoot it, you had better shoot straight. Because.. There is nothing more dangerous than a wounded animal. I also tell this very thing to the credit card and bill collectors.

I’m sorry it has been a rough day here at the farm and I do not mean to make light of your situation…………However, this is how I handle the bears in my life.

They put you in jail for that here even if it is going over your 6 foot fence and your dog is going after it.

I would shoot it and take my punishment, but I also have a 4 year old and 2 year old that love being outside.

I would have to protect my babies, all my babies.

You could also mess up your storm door,if you have one on your house, and say the bear was trying to get in your house, you had to shoot it. LOL I am just too much of a thinker.

OOOoooo! I have another idea. Try to video the bear when he comes back (from inside the house) and call the local news stations. I'm sure your plight being publicized will attract a lot of attention.

Brilliant!!! And you must be sure to mention several times the response you got from Fish and Game when asking for help.

Now I was going to video it but wasnt sure what I was going to do with it... Hmmmmm It was in the woods this morning. I look like such a lunatic I leave the house with the paintball gun and whistle and shoot into the woods for no good reason... just to see if something moves.

I was thinking of letting some free range while I had a BBQ... lots of friends over... anyone wanna come lol
