I am thinking of moving to Tennessee but I do not know the area. I have been checking out homes but do not know the areas well enough to decide. I want the warmer area south. Zone 7-8

I would appreciate any suggestions? I am single and would like to move to a one acre or more area.

Are there any websites that I could look at?

Thank you

Wow! I'm sorry to hear that. It's such a beautiful state to visit. I love the area around Nashville.

mls.com . Check out an area you would be interested in, then maybe contact a realtor--they would have answers to any questions you might have...

I live in Sevierville, which is East Tennessee (Dolly Parton's hometown)
It's nice around here, very country, (when asked, I say I live in the middle of every Redneck joke you have ever heard and some you haven't) yet we are only 30 mins from Knoxville for the "Big City" things.
Lot's of land and homes available in this part of the state.
Try looking up Sevier, Knox, Jefferson, Hamblen, Anderson, and Cocke counties. Newspaper classifieds will give some idea or look it up on ReMax.

I live here and it was the worst mistake of mylife moving to Tennessee.

I am so sorry about that, no one should be so unhappy with their state.

East Tennessee

That is where I am looking

Does that include Oak Ridge, Cleveland and Chattanooga?

Thanks for the great tips. I will try the classifieds. I looked at Cent 21. They don't tell annual tax, that is important.

When I first married I was at Camp Lejuene with my husband (a Marine) we traveled through TN...
Spectacular too...I have some fellow minister friends who live in the Gatlinburg area...they love it.
