I blew it. Now what?

Sorry I missed this question. How’s everything going now?

Quitters just happen. The one in your pic looks like it quit some time ago, the growth should have been bigger, this late in the game. A few quitters aren’t usually cause for adjusting anything in your process, if the majority do well.

So it’s day 27 now. As of last night at least 10 eggs have cracks in them! 1 egg was rocking and chirping a lot like it was quite mad The egg that I dropped has also made a nice crack in the shell. I’m concerned for number 27. It pipped internally somewhere between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning but made no other progress. So Thursday morning I drilled a tiny little whole in it the air sac. Last night it was rocking but not chirping and had made no other progress. So I opened a little bit of the shell so I could moisten the membrane. I could still see veins so now I’m thinking I should’ve just left it alone But the last time we tried to hatch Muscovy’s, we waited too long and lost all but 1. So I’m still learning.

One of them hatched!!! Now it’s bumping around into all the other eggs.... Will this help everyone else or should I be taking it out soon? I’ve seen some things that say to leave them in because they’ll be fine for 24 hours. Other things I’ve seen say to take them out.

This was this morning when we went to move them to the brooder. They were causing such a ruckus!

So in all we had 24 hatch. We assisted with a few of them. We’ve noticed one was smaller and weaker. This evening we’ve kept her with us. She wasn’t eating or drinking. All she wanted to do was sleep and she wasn’t pooping at all. We mixed up some food and vitamin water and had her on a warm heating pad. I read that giving them scrambled egg can help so I quickly did that. Little by little she started improving. She started eating and drinking and got more active and vocal. She even started pooping. Then she started chirping. A lot. She wouldn’t stop. Thought maybe she was too hot or too cold or maybe she wanted more food or water. Then she flung her head back and she went stiff. My dad took her from my mom snd started rubbing her and she came back. But then was gone. What happened?
