I bought 2 chicks from feed store saying "sussex" I'm thinking not...

I looked at pics of sussex, and these pics are black and gold?

are they sussex or something else?

My speckled sussex looked so much like rhode island reds that I couldn't tell my girls apart until they started to feather out; the speckled added their white speckles to a darker mahogany red; my RIR are a med-lt rusty red. Does this help???

There are other sussex colors as well.
