Four years ago DBF and I put in a new fence at my house. We never finished the gate because we didn't really need to: no reason to try to keep the cats in the back yard.
We are now living together and it's 4 years later. The gate wasn't done and we have 4 chickens. We've been using our recycling bins and a board to keep the chickens from wandering. We had a need to finish the gate.
And the coop.
And the bathroom cabinets (never-ending remodel)
And the shop
And... and... and. It never ends.
My @#$* mother has been nagging me about the gate for YEARS. I told her last week to back off and manage her own to-do list, and not to worry about mine.
Tonight I'd had it with that gate. DBF is up at a friend's house tonight. I got off work early and finished that darn gate. It took me only about an hour (half of which was trying to figure out which was the best way to hang the hinges in the narrow opening). It's not the prettiest job but it's done and it's one less thing to hear crap from my mother about. I'm DONE DONE DONE. DBF needs to rip one board and attach it to the gate. Otherwise the stupid gate is done.
