One of the other hens was pecking her and there was blood on her head where I assume she'd been getting pecked multiple times. I picked her up and looked her over and found that her bottom was extremely dirty, with a lot of dried poop and nasty feathers. Her vent was open with no redness or swelling. I thought perhaps she had a stuck egg, but there was no sign of an egg inside the vent and her belly was soft. I've separated her from the rest of the flock and I'm keeping a close eye on her over night. Please help, if you can. Thanks so much.

Im not sure how to cure this but I had a chick who also was in a similar condition who died shortly after. Did you isolate her? I think mine had some sort of disease which spread to the rest of my chicks which caused them all to die.

yes, I definitely isolated her.
how long has it been since you started noticing the dried poop? Its supposed to go away after about 9 days. Also, I believe she may have some sort of respiratory disease. I think mine had Infectious bronchitis since it was highly contagious among the flock but the others didnt have build up near the vent. Im not exactly sure about any of this yet since ive never researched it so this is my first time too. I hope some of this helps.

Poor baby. With a name like Bob, no wonder she was breathing hard. I saw on here one time that a woman put her sick bird into some warm water with Epsom salts. So, I used that remedy on one of my sick chicks. After pat drying her, I gave her some TLC with a dropper of sugar water, and kept an eye on her. After a couple days she was eating again. Ivermectin in her water might not be a bad idea.

I googled it and it says you could also increase the temp by 3-4 degrees celsius to reduce mortality rates

I've had Bob inside since I found her in such condition yesterday, so approximately 12 hours, and she's niether pooped nor laid an egg. So my next step is to let her set in warm Epson salts water to hopefully help if there is a stuck egg, and also to clean her up. She has eaten and she is drinking and for that I am thankful. Please feel free to give me more advice or ideas. Thanks

I’m not sure what to do now since my chickens had no problem pooping. Keep her how she is right now and maybe try encouraging her to poop or lay an egg if there’s one.
