24 degrees here right now

pool iced over so I had to go out and break up the ice for them. They were happy with that for about 2 mins

Then they started hounding me

“Where’s da treats lady??”

Adorable sassholes!

It's pretty cold here too!
We had snow for the first time this winter, but hardly any. I let the girls out to experience their first snowfall, they left some adorable waddler-prints.
Sprightly was a little concerned, she thought the sky was falling down, but she was happy after a reassuring cuddle!

It's pretty cold here too!

They are both chunks! Every time someone comes to our house they think they’re geese

I mean chunky boy looks like Godzilla next to everyone else

The sass is relentless!!

I foolishly left a couple eggs on top of the duck house (forgot to bring them in). I went to get the girls back in this afternoon-- looked out the window and saw Miss Sprightly stood ON the house, rolling the eggs off the edge, to Dougie on the ground who was laughing excitedly and eating them up!! They are PLOTTING against me!!
Sprightly climbed/fell down as I approached and they both ran around excitedly. I asked why they thought this was appropriate behaviour and just got "laughed" at.

It's a miracle, the sassy ducks are LISTENING to commands!!!!!

I had to leave their food on my garden chair while I got water from inside the house (outside tap is frozen again ugh)
And from the door I realised my mistake and saw Sprightly and Dougie trying to reach and knock the food down!
I called their names from the door and said no----
And they LEFT THE FOOD!!
It was within their reach too! What an incredible turn of events!
They waited for me to come pack and pour the food in their bowl.
There might be hope for these mischievous ducks!
