I can’t get my humidity up

Hi so tomorrow is my lockdown day and the most I can get the humidity up is to 62%. Any tips?

Have you tried adding a new, clean sponge (I cut them to size)? I use O-Cel-O ones that are antimicrobial, and they help keep humidity levels up overnight.

I have a damp towel in there now, how do you put the sponge in?

that's plenty high enough. I have mine at 54% and that's as high as I'm going to take it. (I do live in a high humidity area though so if you're inland you might want it a bit higher)

What kind of incu you have and what you have to add humidity will help us to give suggestions.

@brianna-maeve, I just open the incubator quickly and put the sponge pieces in (near the top vent hole so I can feed tubing connected to my medical squeeze bottle in - this way, I can refresh the sponges periodically with water without opening the incubator again).

Sponges are great. You can also use the string trick (take a clean piece of string, run it into your bator from a clean container of water), which I found to be a lot easier in my old incubator.
