I candled today.... Hmmm. Question

Okay. I candled a few eggs. 3.
I candled the small egg (marked #10). I candled it and there's a blackish spot that is kind of moving w/o me shaking the egg.
it's weird cuz i just put them in the incubator yesterday. (i know it's an early candling).

i am just curious what can this be?

might be a blood spot in the egg young hens will some times have those. You should wait until day 5 before you candle and the it will look like a spider. if you set different sized eggs they may hatch on different days, smallest ones first.

Im new so I realy dont know.
But I found a small egg the other day when I cracked it open all it had was a small black thing inside? Crazy no yoke ?

I get excited some times if I candle, because the yolk will move in the egg, but sometimes it is just wishful thinking.

yeah.... i was curious bout small eggs. i never really had small eggs before. this is my 2nd hatch. all brown eggs. last year i had some white.

(Can you tell breeds apart from the egg? The two breeds the farm has is RIR and Leghorns)
