I cannot figure out which issue/s to treat

I hope she continues to improve! I know how stressful it can be when so many things are going on at once! It's a good sign that she was willing to drink some and eat some egg. See if you can get some NutriDrench (it's sold online and at Tractor Supply) to have on hand for a concentrated vitamin boost (she may be very deficient because she hasn't been eating much). Decreased gurgling is also, hopefully, a good sign - maybe with continued crop massage she'll be able to get some relief (and eat/drink a bit more). You're doing great! Is she pooping at all?

Oh, yeah, she's pooping all over the place! I just hope she isn't damaged internally. She's such a nice chicken. (Of course they're all our favorites when they're ill or something gets them, huh?)
Thanks for the suggestion of the NutriDrench. I will get some.
You know, I've been looking at so much stuff on line and I don't know what it is about my hens but they always have poopy butts. I bathe them and the next day they are poopy again. Maybe this is a wake up call for me to take better care. I don't know how to make their living quarters better. I pick up their droppings almost every day. Their floor is dirt. The have a large enough "coop." Their coop is actually a run, covered, with some walls and some hardware cloth walls and they have a small coop inside of the run which they use for a nesting box (if they were laying) and they roost on top of it. They have a spot to dust bathe in. They WERE free ranging until a fox got one of my hens last week. I just don't know what more to do. Perhaps their floor shouldn't be dirt? Anyway, I'm rambling too much now. Thanks for your help.

Sorry about the fox issue. That's tough.

What do you feed? I wonder if their feed could be causing the poopy bums... If you've wormed them, and you've washed them and the poopy bums keep coming back, it could be the feed (or too many scraps/treats?).

Are the messy bums dried poo balls or is there always wet poo on them? If it's always a thin stream of runny poo, that could be vent gleet (which is a yeast infection) and it could contribute to risk of flystrike. You can use Povidone Iodine (it's available at the drugstore) to keep that in check:

>>Bathe the chicken's bum, remove poo, rinse well. Then, squirt the povidone on the bum area and gently rub it in (wear gloves because IT STAINS). That can keep their bums clean for weeks!

You obviously care for and want what's best for your chickens, so don't get down on yourself. We're all doing the best we can with what we've got. That's why BYC is here! :hugs

I give them regular layer pellets from the feed store. I do give them scratch and mealworms too. And lately more garden scraps. Maybe too many treats. It seems that I've been cleaning out the fridge and offering more leftovers to them lately, thinking it was good for them (protein and veggies). Perhaps not. I don't usually give them bread but was giving them vitamin b12 tablets (one was recovering from flystrike and had watery squirts--the crop-issue hen I've been dealing with the last few days) so wrapped that in bread. I guess I'll just lay off the treats except for a little scratch in the evening.
I've also had a problem with rats getting into their feed. I've just started bringing that inside in the evening and putting it back out at morning again.
Thank you so much for the suggestions. I will pay closer attention if I can!
