I have a water bed, i am 19 weeks barely showing i mean if you didnt know me you couldnt tell, and im starting to have a hard time rolling out of it! i cant wait to try it in a couple more months. *Sarcasm* lol

i did with my 5th and he was fine

we just didn't have the money or room at that time for a normal bed so we just used a pack and play until he was a year old and then he slept with us.

those are the reasons I'm thinking of doing it... can't find any info about whether or not it's a bad idea though. I suppose I could ask the midwife when I see her, but I don't think it's really in her job description!

thanks mo5b1g!

it really is safe and if you dont have a lot of space/money, it can be a lifesaver!
in fact, we bought one for this little guy since he will be in our room for the first 3-4 months. we bought the ocean wonders one..its so cute!

I use the pack-n-play that has the bassinet in it for the first 3-4 months....We put the baby in our room and the crib really takes up a lot of space....nothing wrong with using them.

yours is cute too!
i like the one we got because its got a changing table, even though i bet everyone 100 dollars i will use that feature maybe twice!

they're both lovely! I'm still browsing at the moment, though I did buy a cute little tshirt today because it was only £1 and I couldn't help myself. I bought some baby clothes last week because I had a terror that if I lost the baby now they'd take him away without any clothes and I didn't want him to go away naked. Completely irrational, but that's really what I was thinking

I like how the travel cots look much more than normal cots too - not that appearance is important compared to safety, of course.
