Wow, my hat is off to you ladies with house guests who have worn out their welcome. For their sakes, I hope they're out of your houses when your very strong nesting instincts kick in... otherwise one day they might find all their belonging out in your yards and the locks changed on your doors.

Anyone had a baby shower yet? (Or having one soon?)

One of my friends is planning the Baby Shower. We really don't have a specific "theme" (as DH likes the Aquarium/fish/ocean theme and I like the farm animal theme) for ours, but it's getting worked on....

What really gets me down is that I have a very bad feeling most of my family wont show up because they aren't too thrilled about the baby....

So this afternoon I think my hormones are getting to me as Im mad at the world!

we don't really have baby showers over here, most people buy a gift for the baby after it's born but that's about it.

so i went Mining today in NC i found some emeralds rubys saphire garnet all kids of stones, then we went to the Gem Cutter and i had a really pretty pink Rose Quartz cut down and put into a pendant for a necklace for the baby!! cost an arm and a leg but totally worth it!

Well, I am having a tough time right now...

Baby due 7/1, so my friend set the Shower for 6/5. Turns out that my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary is that same day (in which I forgot because they have never really celebrated it). Already have guests confirm that they will be at the shower, so really can't change it...

Just realized that my "family" (dad, sisters, aunt, cousin and grandparents) are most likely not going to come to the shower. Aunt pretty much told me to f**k off and she nor my cousins will be coming because of the 50th wedding anniversary. My one cousin does want to come badly, but my aunt told her no because it's our grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. They never supported me from the beginning, so I guess I expected too much out of them by inviting them.

I know the anniversary is important, but my grandparents really don't "celebrate" it at all, except go out to eat. Our baby shower is only going to be 3 hrs long, yet none of my family is coming because it's the same day as the wedding anniversary. They won't even come for a 1/2 hour. I don't care if we got gifts from them, I just want them to come and be here. But then again, they haven't supported me throughout this whole pregnancy. They pretty much have turned their backs against DH and I.

My Aunts birthday is in 2 weeks, and my grandparents invited us out for her birthday dinner. I am really planning on not wanting to go because of what she told me about coming to the shower, plus my family doesn't like DH and really isolate us when we go to these "family" events.

I also have a bad feeling that they won't want to come see me when the baby is born. It's just a feeling and I can be wrong.....

Maybe I am expecting too much? It really hasn't hit me or bothered me until now.....

Oh my goodness, this heartburn is about to kill me! I think I'm down to being able to eat yogurt and ice cream.

No baby shower this time. GAChknGirl, that pendant sounds adorable. If it were me, I'd give it to her on her 5th birthday.
