me! 24 weeks and I finally figured that if I pop in to pee every time I pass the bathroom it's ok.

I also wear a pad just in case, much to fiance's amusement. But I'd rather that than risk underwear changes for every sneeze!

in the meantime.... squeeeeeze... and release! squeeeze.... and release!

I feel you.

The drugs they gave me for nausea make me sleep really hard and I woke up peeing the other day! The nurse said I was a bit too relaxed. So I'm not longer taking those pills!

Sometimes when I get sick I sit on the toilet and throw up in the trash just so if I pee it's not a big deal.

I have issues with sneezing and peeing

I hate going to the bathroom 400 times a day, so I have a bad habit of waiting and holding it. If I happen to sneeze during one of those 'wait and hold because I am lazy' times, well I pay for it! LOL

Does anyone else have a problem with blood pressure? I am 30 1/2 weeks, and my ankles are swelling badly. My blood pressure was 152/88 at my appointment on Tuesday, and I am supposed to check it every day and call if it goes over 90.

I was on bed rest for the last 2 weeks of my last pregnancy, but I am just afraid that I am going to be put on bed rest soon. I had a different doctor last time, and he wouldn't induce me at 39 weeks with a blood pressure problem because I wasn't dilated. He left me go until 41 weeks. This doctor told me from the first visit that he would induce me if I had any problems that close to my due date. I am just afraid that I am going to end up on bed rest for 2 months.
I have a history-my first baby was to be born at home with a midwife. I was 44 weeks when I FINALLY started labor, but I don't dilate. I was in labor for 65 hours before she was born, very near death. The doctor said it is a miracle she did survive and has no brain damage. Long story....
The second one, I had the same doctor. She is our family doctor and has since stopped delivering babies.

She induced me when I was a week overdue-I was not dilated at all, nor thinned. My body just doesn't work the way it is supposed to.

Babymakes6, I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow and I've been having BP issues for the past few weeks. At my 34 week appt it was 160/90 so I was put on modified bed rest. Had to go back a couple of days after that and BP was 120/78. Wed was my 36 week appt and it was 150/92. This time I had to have a preeclampsia work-up... blood work, a non-stress test, and a 24 hour urine collection... told to continue with the bed rest. A nurse called yesterday letting me know my blood work was normal.

I go back on Monday for a BP check and again on Wed for my regular exam. The doctor told me they'd like for me to get to 39 weeks but there was no way I would be going past 40 weeks since my BP has been acting up. So...

I hope things go well for you. I don't have blood pressure problems when I'm not pregnant.
Olivia had meconium-so bad that her cord was olive-colored. My doctor says she has never seen a cord that color before. She had an Apgar score of 2 when she was born. She was blue, not breathing, and had no muscle tone-it took them about 7 minutes of constant working to get her to respond at all. She was on oxygen for 2 hours. They had a helicopter on the way to transport her to Children's Hospital, but when they did chest X-rays, they found she had nothing in her lungs. She was 22" long, but only 7 lb.15 oz.-we were told she had actually started to lose weight. We decided we are NEVER having a mid-wife at home again!

you can't leave us! even when the babies are born we still need you

as for blood pressure, I had a major problem with mine well before I got pregnant, I have to go in to the day assessment unit if at any point it reads more than 140/90, and I have to check often. I've been in the unit twice so far. as long as it's not pre-eclampsia they can safely medicate to keep it in acceptable levels. Not sure what they do to help with pre-eclampsia though... haven't had it yet. Put your feet up higher than your hips for several hours and see if the swollen ankles go down, and drink lots of water... I'm told that should help. (haven't had that issue yet)

see if your hands are swelling too - that's a warning sign.

we need a chart of who's due when, so we can keep track!
