I did want it in a different colour but I wasn't about to pay over £120 because of superficiality!
it's got good reviews in most places, comes from a company with a good reputation, has a basinette level and should last until he's 3 (but I'm betting on needing a real bed by then anyway), and a removable changing table thing which should last for quite a while too - at least until I get the stitches out, which will be good! don't mind using a changing mat on the floor, but with stitches that would be painful!
oh and there's a battery powered unit to vibrate the basinette, play music, and a small nightlight so I can see the baby if I need to at night... it was the battery unit that convinced his daddy that was the cot for us

I hadn't realised he was such a gadget man!

I hope things go well for you. I don't have blood pressure problems when I'm not pregnant.
Olivia had meconium-so bad that her cord was olive-colored. My doctor says she has never seen a cord that color before. She had an Apgar score of 2 when she was born. She was blue, not breathing, and had no muscle tone-it took them about 7 minutes of constant working to get her to respond at all. She was on oxygen for 2 hours. They had a helicopter on the way to transport her to Children's Hospital, but when they did chest X-rays, they found she had nothing in her lungs. She was 22" long, but only 7 lb.15 oz.-we were told she had actually started to lose weight. We decided we are NEVER having a mid-wife at home again!

I don't have nonpregnant BP issues either, and it has just recently started this up and down stuff. It's a good excuse for sitting around doing nothing, but that is getting really old now.

Wow, Olivia is one fortunate little girl to have survived that. My last birth was a planned home birth with a midwife. Everything went fine with it but I opted for a hospital birth this time since I'm nearly a decade older than I was back then, and since I'm considered to be of ancient maternal age now.

Well I was stuck in the hospital yesterday and most of today....been having chest pains and shortness of breath. Blood Oxygen level was 62%. Did a whole bunch of tests, everything came back normal....

They sent me home telling me No heavy activity that requires physical exertion, and now my pregnancy is High Risk and I have to get an appt. with the High Risk Doctor on Thursday.... and they're also worried about me going into Preterm labor....

at that oxygen level! Were they able to get it back up to normal? Did you have to have oxygen? Wow, my oldest son is an asthmatic and he once had a bad asthma attack and the docs freaked because his oxygen level was in the low to mid 90s. You take it easy and take good care of yourself. I have to think of myself, and my job right now, as a human incubator... if sitting around doing nothing is what it takes for me to be good at my job, so be it.

to you!

I really didn't care for what they did to me....they had to stick me with a needle three times to get that artery blood. The second time they did it, I was very tense that the needle actually struck a nerve, so now my arm is feeling tingly. I was never put on oxygen, no pain relievers, I had a migraine from not being able to drink/eat all day on Thursday. They put that finger clip thing on me that somehow knows your oxygen level....came back like 96-100%. The first time they put the clip on me was about 1/2 hour after I got the results of the blood oxygen level. It said 96%....

So I have no clue what's going on, nor do the doctors. Every test they did came back normal. I was on an IV drip and has these things on my legs to prevent blood clots... Hubby said I was pale, I felt miserable, and they told me to go home....
