my husband is ready to kill me...i picked out some beautiful baby yellow, white, and mint green fabric to make some diaper shirts with..i thought it was 99 cents a yard but no, someone had snagged them from the 9 DOLLAR a yard rack and tossed them in. since they were virtually the same, stupid me didnt double check and i didnt find out until it was cut and ready to be paid for at the register!

i bought a lot of it too, since it was such a great deal.

i seriously cant even tell the difference but the sales lady assured me that this overpriced stuff has a higher thread count.

I have done that before. It always happens at Walmart too. I was told that Walmart is getting sued because they sometimes will have a whole shelf of stuff with the wrong price then when people check out they get over charged. If you ask the clerks or the manager about it before then they just say someone moved it. A whole shelf? I try to remember to watch the register but sometimes I get distracted.

This is how I feel towards the stores when that happens.....

i have been lucky at walmart so far luckily!

We must all be starting to nest since we're really starting to get things together. I went to the outlet mall today so I could go to the Motherhood Outlet. Bought some nursing pjs, some short sleeve shirts and a pair of denim capris. I wanted a pair of jeans but there was NO WAY I was going to spend $50 on some jeans to wear for 11 weeks or less... ridiculous! Anyway, I also got my nursing bras and some adorable baby sleepers and outfits at the Carters outlet.

Did y'all know that Carters has changed their sizing and now the Newborn size only goes up to 8 lbs? Since all of my babies have been born at well over 8 lbs I was advised to get the 3 month size instead. Only the Newborn sleepers have those little flaps that fold over the baby's hands so they can't scratch their faces.

when we went to babies r us, the newborn outfits were 16-17 dollars! who would pay that much for something for a little one to wear for a week or so!

i showed that to my husband, and his response was "why dont we get a couple of them!"

that is insane..yes, its beautiful but honestly, you are just showboating when you buy stuff like that i think.

That is astonishingly expensive.

I felt so extravagant when I recently bought a used bassinet for $35. I drove an hour away for it two. I knew all the while I would only use it for a couple of months.

When I had my oldest son and daughter I used a toy wooden doll cradle and a drawer.

The last baby I borrowed a bassinet so I thought I was really splurging this time.

i had to make do with a laundry basket once..only for a few weeks but it worked pretty good though and he suffered no long term effects from his ordeal.
