I cant believe its been a year!!

I really need to start shopping for this baby some time soon... my family have a history of never going to full-term so I should be ready early just in case. I'm only half way but it's a rare thing for me to be going anywhere I can buy baby things so I should start soon. But I don't want baby stuff yet in case something goes wrong

I understand that feeling, I had the same fear with this pregnancy. If you can, wait until you're 25 weeks along... still plenty of time before your due date but babies have a chance of survival if born then. If you just can't wait any longer buy the stuff but hang on to your receipts and don't open anything until later on. Just having the stuff in the house might make you feel satisfied.

yeah, I've been trying to wait until 25 weeks for just that reason... but I'm the sort of person who does all the midwinter/christmas (depending on recipient's beliefs) shopping in spring, I just like to be prepared!

(of course, I then forget what I've bought and end up buying more... lol)


I don't think any of my family have ever been overdue :-s

I felt the baby move for the first time today!!! At least I'm almost positive that's what it was. I'm 19 weeks and 2 days. I felt a bunch of little "tap tap taps" in my lower abdomen...much more intense than gas/indigestion. It did it for about 10 seconds, stopped, then did it for about 5 more seconds. My first reaction was "what the heck is that?!" to which the intelligent part of my brain replied "you're pregnant...it's the baby, dummy!"

Well, we have warmed up quite a bit here in NC. We've had highs in the mid to upper 60s all this week. Now we have rain to go along with it, which has brought the humidity up. And now I'm swelling in my hands and feet, just like I do in the summer. I'm glad the cold weather has gone away but this swelling is no fun!

yeah....the kicking so hard it hurts is not too bad either.....

all I am feeling is the side effects from Zofran.....and not enough bran.

There is nothing like having your 4 year old little girl follow you out the door with her little princess purse on her arm and her bright pink necklace on her neck....and then looking again and seeing your 3 year old son do the same thing with a dora purse and clip on earrings..

good thing daddy didn't see that.

Nervous... nervous... nervous... today is DH's birthday and he is almost an hour late getting home from work. I don't know where he is! When I try his cell it says, "please wait while we locate..." and then it goes to his voicemail. This is NOT like him, not at all. He may have stopped by the store (and not have cell service inside), but I doubt it since he did that yesterday, and he normally calls me to see if there is anything else we need. Someone hold my hand while I wait this out, please.

awww im sure hes ok! my husband is the master at making me worry, thats for sure.

and as for little boys wearing girl stuff..my boys loved makeup when they were little..we would give them makeovers and you wouldve thought it was the best thing ever.
