A big glass of cold milk helps with my heartburn but nothing gets rid of it completely though, except time. I told the OB that it seems like I can drink water and get heartburn, lol.

i will have to try milk..
so does anyone know if 5 1/2 pounds for a baby at 34 weeks is normal?

Since you tend to have big babies (like I do) it sounds right to me, especially when you compare it to the "average" baby, which is what, 7-1/2 lbs or so?

Weeks 33 to 36

During this time your baby continues his rapid weight gain, gaining about half a pound per week (mom will usually gain about a pound a week). By week 36, the average baby will weigh almost six pounds and measure close to 19 inches in length.

Babies put on the last 1-2 pounds in the last month. I think that is normal.
For heartburn sit straight against the wall or a pillow Hold your arms out straight then like an airplane then raise your arms slowly to point straight up hold for a second or two then relax you arms. This is supposed to raise your chest and ribs away from your stomach and esophagus. I did it and it worked with some success.

I read today in FITPREGNANCY magazine that eating dark chocolate with a lot cocoa it will lower your high blood pressure. I hate diabetes.

I have information about hove to improve the vaginal elasticity during birth too for those that are going natural. It prevent the need for stitches and an epesotemy. Shoot I can't spell it. You know that thing where the doc cuts you so the head and shoulders can pass through.

Try a therapeutic swimming or take the kids to swim lessons during the summer. They do make maternity swim suits and no will say anything. I am so embarrassed about my ugly veins. My legs look like I have tumors. The swimming helps though and no one can tell until I get out of the water.

drinking pomegranate juice is also good for lowering your BP
