Well, I received a call this afternoon, apparently I am not what they are looking for
They stated CLEARLY they want Customer Service People, wanted people with Call Center experience. The 3 others in the interview, one was a Mother with small children, out of work for 4 years, was in the Banking industry, her Customer Svc exp, she was a teller for 8 months, but really did not like it so moved to bookkeeping. The other 2 were College Students....... HHHMMMM Wonder whom they offered the openings too
I asked the girl that called me (not the same one that interviewed, f she could tell me a reason I was not chosen...... she would check and call me back, well I am certainly not holding my breath waiting for that call
This is beyond frustrating
I am perfect for the job, reliable, tons of experience, no kids, so my schedule is wide open..... WTH
Well Karen, I know that employers often view people with that much experience as someone who will take the job to have a job and keep looking. Maybe next interview, mention that you want to work for a company that you can stay with for the long haul.

I did state that, I mentioned to her that I was looking for a long term commitment ,not just a job, honestly, from the people I saw around there and the things she said, they cater to hiring college students, they can get by with paying them less than a seasoned experienced professional and they will work a lot of odd hours. I will almost guarantee the lady with kids did not get hired either, but the 2 college students did. There is a University in Carrollton as well as a Technical College , there are tons of students looking for summer jobs.
Sorry to hear it didn't go well. It's probably just as well that you didn't get the job. There have been many times when I didn't get a job and I found out later that I would have never fit in or that the company was having problems, etc.
