I can't find cause of death to my hen

Hello all,

I have lot of hens on my flock

And one hen was hit on one leg by ****ing bicker
But it's not Broken but skin tear also ankle little broken and bone appear on legs .
i can't do a suction

And I applied betadine for stop infection
And bandaged entire leg
And given 0.5 ml painkiller shot

Everything cool untill 3 days
She suddenly died after 3 days
But she's well drink and take feed too

Note: full of rain here and she also wet in rain is it that's cause of death
Is there any temperature error

I given ACV as normal

Is there any error

Sadly no vet near me

Hi! Welcome to BYC! So sorry for your loss. I don't think it was the rain as, here in the rainy state, my chickens get wet all the time. It hasn't killed anyone yet. They have coops and outdoor shelters to stay dry, but will still walk around in the rain. Silly birds.

I don't think I know. Sometimes chickens die somewhat mysteriously and the only way to know what happened is to have a necropsy done on them. Or to do one yourself.

I don't think diclofenac is safe for chickens. Whether that was the cause of death or not, only a necropsy could say for sure, but I would not use that product again. If a pain killer is absolutely necessary then meloxicam or plain aspirin (when bleeding is not an issue) would be better options. A couple of articles below:
