I've been bitten a few times as well. My family just

rolls their eyes. My DH thought I was having heart problems last night ( I have a critically ill DS that were having some new issues surfacing AND my DD wedding reception this Friday night) I said "oh I'm fine... just a little anxiety " and I quietly slipped the chick catalog under my seat. He cracked up... he knows how much joy these little guys give me. And what a perfect outlet... It's cheaper that a therapist

I just talked to a friend of mine to borrow their incubator (that they aren't using) so I can put more eggs in it.

Hello my name is Amber and I am addicted to raising baby chickens. So much so I am raising some to give away as presents and I love them so much that I got jealous of the person recieving the gift that I got more to raise so I could keep them. But I promise that I won't raise anymore this year..........I ment to say I won't raise anymore this spring......I really ment to say I won't raise anymore than the 30 babies this month.................................. Well, I, for one, am not going to join the ranks of the addicted.

I am NOT going to buy an incubator, under any circumstances. My life is far to busy to turn eggs regularly.

I have ordered only 5 birds for my 8x8' coop and only *one* of them is male.

I have only found *one* local breeder of silkies who will sell me only *one* (or maybe two) full grown silkie hens. (you know the kind that NEVER go broody)

I have only *one* divider planned for my run and only *one* set of plans for a brooder mini-coop.

So you see, I am not going to have the same problems you all are experiencing...
