I can't keep up with the egg orders!!!

I have 6 geese and a lot of goose eggs in the fridge, too.

I would tell them to go buy them at the market. You dont owe them eggs....you share your home-grown eggs with them. All you need to tell them is that production slows down a bit in the winter and you cannot keep up with the orders. I would take good care of the lady that gave you the cartons first.......that was nice of her. Oh.... and dont forget to save some for yourself

I am haveing the same issues here. I have 36 layers...and getting almost 2 dozen a day! However, I had to turn away a customer yesterday. NOT good! Why cant people want 2 dozen at a time? Why 5?? My customers are the same way...they all want 5 doz a week!! PIGS!! LOL
I found out the other day....almost no one around here has hens laying right now..just me?? Hmmm someone is not doing something right I would say. My sons co worker asked him....." How is your mom getting eggs from her hens right now? Everyone elses have stopped laying" He just loooked at him and said..." Its a secret...Mom wont tell!"

I got 17 eggs from 23 layers yesterday and that includes two girls who just started laying after their molt. The problem is that four or five of those went into hatching egg orders, not table egg orders. Yep, need more chickens if I'm going to feed us, the neighbors and their friends and families.

I had 4 dozen eggs sitting in my fridge yesterday. My girls have just started laying good. Well, actually only half of my girls are laying. Anyway, I took fliers to all my neighbors that said they wanted eggs, none of them have called or come by to get any.

So I sent out an e-mail to some of my church friends, told them that I wanted more chicken's, and I needed to be able to sell the eggs I get and get more orders than I can handle in order to convience my husband that I need more chickens, so they needed to buy eggs. Sold 2 doz, have 2 more promised and have a lady on my regular list

I wish I had that problem.........I'm getting 16 to 20 eggs a day and I have 10 dozen in the fridge right now............I had to GIVE some away (and I only charge $1.50 a dozen) also I feed the chickens atleast 4 dozen a week. I need to find some more regular customers.
