I Can't Sell Them To Her

Go with your gut.

I started to give a bantam roo to a lady who had some pretty bantam showbirds.
Then she told me her showbirds had died over the winter. They were in rabbit hutches. Rain, snow and subzero temps, and all they had were above-ground, wire-floored rabbit hutches.
I still have my extra roo....

BTW, if there are ducks on the ponfd, but no ducklings, then she may have turtles. Turtles eat ducklings. Another reason she might want to buy adult, or very well-started, birds!

You are right in not wanting to sell them to her.

I'm in a similar situation. A neighbor asked me to incubate 3 scovie eggs for her. Two are pipping right now and I slid them under my broody Pekin last night, the other won't hatch until May 28th.
The neighbor has 6 grown scovies on her pond, they come to the barn to eat but spend the rest of the time on the pond. Last week she said that when the babies hatch she's going to toss them on the pond and let nature take it's course. That statement is what made me decide to put the eggs under my broody Pekin, I told the neighbor that I will not be bringing the babies to her until they are ready to be with the adult ducks. She wasn't thrilled but when I sat and explained to her the importance of keeping these babies protected until they can survive with adults she accepted my decision.
