They seem to get along fine outside when move pen out there but she gets so hot cause used to air conditioning so when she start panting usually after an hour bring them back in . The river is literally 10 feet in front of us but my husband only let her in once for about 10 min . He so scared she gonna run away . But i am begining to think she might be a he cause size of the male ducks around here. But could be because only eats duckling starter crumbles not any foraging .Hello and welcome to BYC!Glad you joined.
Part of the problem is is that she's imprinted on you. The second part of the problem is, it takes time for birds to acclimate to each other and she's not used to her own species for company. It's going to take a lot of time for them to form a bond.
Do they go outside? Do they have access to a pool or a pond to swim in?
