I can't wait until i'm an established adult!

preppy*hippie*chick :

I feel sort of bad for your generation, Kyle. Gone are the days when you could go get an entry level job and afford to live anywhere but a teeny apartment on your own. School costs a fortune and the middle class is being wiped out.

Good luck!

I think its to the point now where when my generation gets out of college and into the working world a 4 year degree will be as good as a GED of ten years ago. Some poeple just simply lack in the brain power to go and be able to get into Harvard or Yale lol. I think its going to take a degree from an Ivy league school to be at all seccessful in todays economy.

Lots of less intelligent folks graduate from Ivy League Schools.

I can think of a couple of past presidents....

I don't think its so much they lack the brain power, its more they lack the initiative to continue school, there are way to many pre adults out there that think the world owes them a living.
I always cheer the ones who finish high school, go onto a collage and then get a respectful job in their chosen profession.( which is now days getting harder and harder)

((((hugs)))) Please don't be in a hurry to be an adult! Enjoy every single day! Its like you look in the mirror one day and poof ...... you're now looking for wrinkles and thinking about your youth and how you wished you had done things that you can't do now. Kids (I love my kids but this is the truth) are energy vampires and suck the energy out of you. You're just too tired to do anything fun by the end of the day and you spent the morning doing housework, farm work and breaking up fights between said children. Then you look at the clock and its time to make dinner, do dishes and listen to hubby complain about his job or that someone brought in the new playboy magazine to work and there is a 45 year woman in it with great legs ... like you used to have.

Like his sleek trim figure is the same as before .... LOL. And then there are bills! I won't even go into that. Just cut up your credit cards now!!!! And men ...... marry one for love not money or looks. Find out ALL his annoying habits first. They may be cute at first ... but after a few years ... they are not cute little habits! And make sure he REALLY loves animals. Go visit people with pets and see how he acts. Be sure you can talk to him. And most importantly ...... be happy with yourself! Live everyday to its fullest!!!!!!

Oh please enjoy your youth! I sure miss mine!

Don't wish your life away....
Don't rush into marriage.......
Don't marry for the sake of money, marry only for love.... then make him work real hard to make that money.........

With lots of animals comes commitment 365 days, every year of their life and yours..... but it is rewarding, even if you don't get to go on vacation or away for the weekend.........

I'm 27, am a researcher at a university, have a house in the country, car I love, dogs, cats, chickens, garden, great husband AND I'M THE HAPPIEST I'VE EVER BEEN!

Middle school and high school were absolute hell for me. College was rough because I was on my own trying to navigate the world of loans and rent while taking pretty intense courses. It was rough.

People say "high school/college are the best times of your life! Enjoy it!" They say this because you have no major responsibilities and can party it up. BUT you have no money, crappy car, live with your parents or in a crappy apartment. It sucks! I'd never go back!

It's good to have something to look forward to. If you dream of having your own house and yard to be able to do whatever you want, then you have motivation to be successful in college or a career.

that brought tears to my eyes. my great aunt died this year on valentines day way before her time, and at her funeral, they had a whole poem about how what mattered most was the dash. i miss her.

can i steal your life for a bit? middle school and high school have been HORRIBLE! no one can ever let me be happy, even for a day. i come to school and tell my friends about something that went right and how happy i am, and they make sure to ruin it. i come to school having a crappy day and they make sure to make it worse. i don't want to go to college for the parties, i want to go to learn what i want to learn the most and get closer to the job of my dreams.
