I caught a baby hatching on video this AM!

I ran out to check the babies this morning and one mom got up and there was one baby on it's way out! I ran in, got the camera and a flashlight because it was still kind of dark in the coop. It takes a little while but you can hear her chirping and me coaching her! LOL! The battery ran out once she was out and mom peeked in a few times and I had the other six babies around my feet so it jumps a bit, but I think it's amazing, I don't care how many times I see it happen.

How sweet! I never get tired of seeing new life come into the world, whether it is human, animal, or bird. It really is an amazing thing!

I think you can learn a lot about the world by watching births - no birth seems to be completey easy, either for the mom or baby. It must be the perfect design - the birth struggle makes us all stronger!

I had someone ask this morning how do I resist not helping it out! It's definitely hard!! I found myself gritting my teeth and grimacing with each push!
