I don't know....I guess a pencil would be better than being born with scissors in your hand. Unless.....if they were the blunt nosed kind....yeah...that would be okay. Still uncomfortable, but not quite as jabby on the exit ramp.

Good news and bad news.
GOOD: Papaw got released from the hospital today around 4pm.
BAD: He now has to be in a nursing home.
He wasn't to happy about the latter. I'm not really either because I wanted him to go back to the assisted living home that he was in. But since he is on insulin now, he can't go back there. Since he will require 24hr supervision, that was the only other choice. It is close to my house and seems like a nice place so we will have to see how it goes. Keep praying for us and thanks again for everything so far.

I am praying for you and your family..It's a big change and a hard one when your loved one enters a facility, I know personally. But I just bet you and your mother will be visiting lots. Don't hesitate to ask the staff questions....Also there are things called care plan meetings, one or b oth of you can participate in those. There is also something called a residents council where loved ones of residents and residents themselves can attend to make suggestions, etc. If you need assistance from a third party - as in a complaint or question situation, there are programs called Long Term Care Ombudsman to help as well....

Bet when you were picking peas with me, I didn't look like I could find my way out of a pea patch....smile
He definitely needs the 24 hours care. I hope he will do very well .
