Oh yeah, he already does it for that one since it's on Fox. Forgot we'd been successful at that. With #$%#^ Sponge Bob, my mom allowed him to watch it one day so he knows it's a kids' show.

Forgot to add they are supposedly coming tomorrow and are supposed to have called to let us know when. They have not. Grrrrr.
Turns out that we do need to have the cable connection in this room. The two other people DH spoke with must have thought we had DSL or wireless or something other than plain ole dial-up. I called yesterday and explained that was told, of course you have to have cable in the room with the computer then! DUh. Well, now we do. DH took care of that last night.

I've lived TV-free for 3 years now and I love it. Thank god I'm free from that time-sucking parade of endless commercials, sensationalism, and re-runs of really stupid shows. I listen to the radio mostly, and I AM a sucker for movies, so I keep a monitor and rent movies when I get a craving.

Try life without TV -- you'll be amazed at how easy it is and how little you'll miss it. Plus you'll save on $$$.

I have a TV because Patriot season ticket are impossible to get I have cable cause, well, I don't know but there must be a reason. OH I know cause I can watch the game in HD.
And Sci-fi I would just die without Sci-fi. And the food channel and HGTV and Discovery, and the national geographic channel. and G4

At this point here I'm not so much annoyed with the cable company. It's the installation people who aren't calling when we're being told they will. We've told them twice now that we won't be here Saturday but their messages back to Charter keepsaying that they can't find a time Friday so they have to come Saturday. I've told them twice to let them know we can not and will not be here Saturday. We will be at an event that happens once a year. Next week will be fine. I swear if they show up Saturday I'll explode. My roosters will run them off anyway. Grrrrrr

I love my cable TV! I rarely watch it, and for the first time ever, we just bought our first HDTV. As it turns out our provider (Comcast for us) has the regular analog channels, but it also has the digital channels (Hi-def), and WOW what a difference! For example, I turn on to the Olympics, and then flip over to the Hi-Def channel for the olympics, and What an amazing picture it has!
I only get the cable TV (just the basic package) so that I can get a $10 per month discount on my internet (through the cable company). I will NEVER go back to DSL, cable just rocks, AND I heard that in just a couple of years, they are going to break into this new technology of super-high speed internet where you can get over 5 times the speed you do right now!
