I DID IT! Am I now a "real" farmer?

You guys are funny!

I did not even think about the fourth, but it is a great idea. I think I need one of those fancy deep fryers for them.

oh no! farmers don't need fancy-schmancy...just rig something out of a piece of metal and wait, we're invited!!!!! how far to washington from michigan? i better get in the car...i'll bring a fork.

p.s. you know, there's only 2 things in life a man needs...duct tape to fix something and DW-40 to unfix something. women may not find you handsome, but they'll find ya handy!

Don't forget to take a pic of him taking a bite of one of the tukeys.

Let us know how they tasted.

At least my son was nice about what I did. He is only 5 and I invited him to come watch. He said he didn't want to. OK, fine, I am actually glad he didn't want to come.
When I was all done and brought the birds in after they had been all cleaned he said "MMMMMMMMM. Yummy!! They look good!"
We talked about the turkeys and what I did a little and he said he was glad I killed them because it made him so sad to see them try and walk and be so crippled up like they were. Sometimes he is so grown up for being only 5.

I agree. Sometimes they can just say the right thing at the right time. And it sounds so cute and innocent coming from a child.

We ate one of them tonight. He was sooo good! My son tried a bite and said it was good, but he was too sad to eat any more. Ho well. He will become a vegetarian or starve, no doubt.

I did not have a roasting pan and we did not BBQ so I put him in the crock pot with red potatoes, garlic, peas and basil. We had wild rice to go with it.

Sorry, no pictures.
