I gave my somewhat aggresive but loved anyway rooster away. I gave him to a friend who lets his free range anywhere they want on his land. He has a barn that they can go into for egg laying and roosting. I have always had him in a run. I know with him that he would have been happy with the green grass and ALL the ladies available. (That was the main problem. WAY to much overmating.) I would assume that when night fell that he would follow the other ladies into the barn. He wouldn't know on his own of course but wouldn't he follow the others when they went? What do you think?
I am a little worried. I knew that there was no other choice and that he would be very happy with the tons of ladies available since there is more there than I have and the wonderful grass but I just don't like the thought of him being confused or not knowing what to do and I know he is going to have to teach those girls that he is boss. I just worry. SO please tell me your opinion or experience. I will be asking my friend when I see him but till then...
