Me too, only for real. I did not check to see if all of my chickens were in and this morning I found my Appenzellar Spitzenhauben hen nearly dead. I am quiet sure it was a skunk. She smells skunky. I gave her warm pedialite, put salve on her neck wounds, gave her a shot, and said a prayer over her. Sigh, oh I pray she makes it.

How have you been Helen? Hows the weather? Here in Ohio it is starting to get cold, the leaves are turning, and the days are getting shorter. I turned my lights on for the girls. Hopefully they will continue to lay.
Did not mean to put a damper on your thread. But as soon as I seen the title I thought "Oh no, someone else had a bad morning too."
