I did the unthinkable today....

so Last night I could not take it any longer and moved three of my smaller hens with bald spots into the mudroom in a dog crate! Do I now have house chickens? come on, it was 25 below zero last night, I could not sleep knowing that they would be struggling to survive, I'm a hugh sap. My husband just rolled his eyes and said is this part of menopause too! Do I need help?

To the OP your DH's remark about menopause made me think of the "All in the Family" episodes when Edith is going through it.

How does bringing chickens into the house figure in to menopause?!

I have one in the house now because she's injured. Chicken sitting. But when it got really cold here, well cold for WA, and that was -9F, my chickens were in the house. Same eye roll from husband. but I couldn't sleep. Just roll your eyes back at him.......
